Unable to delete PayPal honey web extension

I am no longer interested in having PayPal honey as a Web extension on my phone. I have turned off the web extension, but I’m unable to delete the extension completely off my phone. For some reason, there is no way to delete the web extension without deleting the PayPal app. It’s leaving me a bit baffled as to why an app on my phone has such wide reaching abilities that cannot be deleted without deleting the PayPal app completely. And also, why is it automatically allowed to be reinstalled on my phone without permission? If I would be able to find out a way to completely remove the PayPal honey web extension and also have PayPal on my phone that would be appreciated. Thank you

The PayPal Honey instructions do not explain how to remove it, but refer to https://help.joinhoney.com/article/365-install-the-honey-mobile-extension, under Installing. In its Step 3, toggle that switch "off".


Then, delete the Honey app according to Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support.


PP owns Honey. For all I know you may also need to delete the PayPal app. If that is in fact required, you can always install the PayPal app again: Redownload apps and games from Apple - Apple Support
