iPhone 15 Pro Max with external WD SN770M NVMe SSD Video issues

I'm using a ACASIS USB-C M.2 2230 NVMe SSD case with a WD SN770M (GEN4) NVMe SSD formatted to EXFAT.

It records Pro Res 442HQ using the Apple Camera app but won't record any 422 ProRes formats using the Black Magic Camera app but does record the lower res formats (H265, etc). Also when recording Pro Res 422HQ when I stop recording it won't start again, freezes up. I tried using a hub with external power but same problem. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks

Search for accessories that have completed MFi certification.
