Syncing text shortcuts between iOS and macOS

How do I create text shortcuts and abbreviations for words and make them sync between iOS and macOS? I want them to automatically expand to full sentences or phrases wherever I type them.

For example, when I type (in any program or context) brf I want it to automatically be replaced with:

I want to set up "text shortcuts" like these and make them sync across my Apple devices (primarily between iOS and macOS). It would help me a great deal in typing often used texts faster and more efficient.
