Imac support exp DEC 2025

not sure why the supoort is done 2025 just got this unit yesterday 12 28 24 was bought from apple direct also was referbished.

iMac 24″, macOS 15.2

Apple refurbished products have a one year limited warranty. Dec 2024 to Dec 2025 is one year.

TurboTax has announced that it will no longer provide any support for its SW on a product using the OS that my iMac is using. Thanks to this group, I upgraded my HD from the mechanical unit that came with this unit to an SSD drive so it now performs the way I expected it to. (I owe a debt of gratitude to this group for that). I suspect that, if TurboTax has officially said this that other SW providers will soon do the same. When will support for Intel based Macs end? While searching I've not found anything definite about when support is ending for Intel based iMacs. I have a 2015 Mac running Monterey and wonder when I will need to replace it to remain secure when online. My local Apple Store were unable to throw any light on the question. Has anyone found any definitive information of this? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Starting up my new iMac desktop Just got my new iMac desktop. Powered it up and a picture of a mouse came up, so I plugged it in. now it’s telling me to contact support , so here I am

Dec 2025 is 12 months from now, as you have been advised Apple is advising you of the 1 year warranty. I would strongly recommend that you buy AppleCare, however in order to do so you need to buy it very soon or you will not be able to. You can call AppleCare ( AppleCare Contact Info ) and they can assist you with the purchase. Please refer to: AppleCare Products - Mac - Apple to learn what AppleCare is and what it covers and of course how much it will cost !
