Global Blue services claim the refund was made to ApplyPay card id but I never received it to my bank account. They say I need to request it from ApplePay.

Apple Pay is not involved in refunds. Apple is not a bank and does not send or receive funds during an Apple Pay refund.

Contact the merchant (Blue Global?) and request the ARN (Acquirer Reference Number). Every refund has an ARN. Once you receive the number give it to the bank the refund is going to. Once your bank has the ARN, they can track the refund and determine its status.

Please follow the steps provided by Jeff Donald, he is an expert in the field of all transaction related issues and more. I cannot add any additional information that Jeff has provided already, but I may be able to help with some misconceptions many have with Apple Pay.

Apple Pay actually plays a very small part of any transaction and no part in returns. The "tokens" Apple Pay uses are provided by the bank that issues the card. The banks trust Apple Pay with this information because it is stored in the Secure Enclave on your device that has never been compromised. To initiate a transaction it requires biometric verification or your Passcode, so the banks are confident it is not from fraudulent use. Apple Pay is responsible for sending that code to the merchant and after that it is done with the entire transaction. The rest of the communication is between the merchant, bank that issued the card, and the PNO (VISA, MasterCard, etc). No money ever enters or exits Apple Pay.

No, I have my bank CC attached to Apple Pay. I see that on the shop check and on the tax return it states the last 4 digits of the id assigned to the card by Apple Pay. So they say they returned it there as a choice was to refund tax to the card the payment was made with. But I never received the refund and they never seen my real CC number as they returned to Apple Pay ID.
