How do I get rid of Creedence APVS Volume that appears on my Mac?

Creedence11M6270.SECUREPKITRUSTSTOREASSETS_SECUREPKITRUSTSTORE_Cryptex

This APVS Volume appears on my computer—visible in Disk Utility, but not the Finder. I can't get rid of it, or unmount it. It happens at the same time that my computer won't let me save any sorts of new files to my disk. Is this related to recently installing Sequoia? What should I be looking for to resolve this?

the "Creedence" thing and your google drive issue are unrelated. I don't use ANYTHING that has to do with google drive, but the "Creedence" thing appears as a disk image for something to do with macOS.

I forget the actual answer where I first saw this mentioned, but it apparently isn't something to worry about.

the google drive issue you have is a whole other thing that I cannot help you with as I know nothing about google drive. sorry.

I have the Creedence11M6270 on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) as well. I noticed this in early December after one of the macOS Sequoia 15 updates, (not sure which one). I have tried to do a net search as to the reason why it is on my Mac? I have just had my iMac serviced by an Apple accredited maintenance outlet and they weren't sure what Creedence11M6270 was either. This made me more concerned as all the online suggestions say that it is "nothing to worry about". I have tried to delete it, but get a pop-up message saying that it can't be removed as it is in use.

Is this spyware? Is it a third party way of monitoring my iMaC?

I respectfully ask Apple to please allay my fears, and others, to make an announcement, or publish a statement, as to the reason Creedence11M6270 has appeared. Can anyone explain why it is on our Macs?

No. I'm booting from the regular Apple internal drive. Looking through logs, it seems that the disk image seems to have to do with trying to have two Google Drives mounted.

On another Mac Airbook, (running MacOS Sonoma 14.7.), it simply won't mount the second Google Drive. It shows two Google Drives in the sidebar, but for one, it says that it can't connect. And that's fine.

On my desktop, though, (running Sequoia 15.2) it shows only one Google Drive, but it also shows a mount point in Disk Utility, that constantly won't let me unmount it, that seems to be related to Google Drive. The mount point is protected by the fact that it is "busy", so I can't get rid of it. Logs say something like:

2024-12-30T06:34:05.158ZI [9431:MediaManagerThread] media_repo.cc:157:RemoveInvalidMedia media_id=A4B97E21-blahblahblah-C37536 should be removed. Status: OK

I'd be happy to ignore it if I could. But when I went to save new files, (not yet having a location), it seemed to be looking forever, (hanging). I now believe it's looking hopelessly for a Google Drive that it can't access, even though I would not want to store the new file there. I suspect the Finder and the saving routine in apps are just confused. But, it does render the computer useless if I want to create a new file, and choose its location.

Any other insights are welcome. I may take it up with Google support. I really don't need two Google Drives, but I do have two Google accounts, and I use them both for different things.
