I had the marquis virus extension added to my computer, i cleared all my browser setting and was able to remove it but want to get to the bottom of what the malicious file is and came across this sleuth, i turned it off but could that be malware?

That doesn't appear to be one of the known domains associated with the Marquis browser redirect and I can't find anything else relating to that domain (the domain itself is for sale) though there are and have been a number of apps and such titled "Sleuth". I'd suggest deleting that app and plist, then downloading Malwarebytes:
https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac
and having it scan your system.
