What’s the latest on AirPods Pro approved as hearing aids in Canada?

Apologies, this has been posted elsewhere but I’ve lost track of those discussions. I contacted Health Canada Medical Devices Directorate and this is part of their reply -

“On December 11th, 2024, Health Canada issued two Medical Device Licences to Apple Inc., authorizing the sale of their Hearing Aid Feature…..”

It goes on to say that it is up to the provinces to determine accessibility to these devices. So what next?

Seems patience is needed: You can keep track of availability via Apple Support's article (link below), listing the three different hearing features, and in which countries they are approved. (We noticed Apple updated the list when UK approved the Test recently. So far, Canada is listed under Hearing Protection feature2 at the bottom.)
