Air pods pro 2? Or 2nd generation?

We ordered AirPods Pro 2 from Amazon as a gift. The recipient opened the box that said AirPods Pro, both the giver and recipient thought it was an AirPod Pro 2 and opened the box. In setting up the AirPods, we were unable to access the Hearing Test. Then looking at the box, we realized it did not say AirPods Pro 2 and asked for a refund from Amazon. We then re-ordered and specifically said AirPods Pro two. The second box arrived, and it is identical to the first box.

Are AirPods Pro 2 actually AirPods Pro second generation? Or are they two separate items your help would be appreciated.
