Unable to setup MacBook Air to my iPhone 15 using Bluetooth

I just got a MacBook Air and trying to set up my Bluetooth with my iPhone 15. When I push the “IPhone” in Bluetooth on my Mac air it loads then says “Mac not supported” then makes me forget device is there a fix to this?

The Mac and the iPhone do not “pair” like you would headphones.

Any syncing is done by connecting both to the same network and using the same Apple Account in each device. Also some features require Bluetooth to be enabled, but as I said, the devices don’t “pair” together.
