Unable to Login to my MacBook Air after moving data to new Mac

I followed the steps for the Migration Assistant. Which It didn't have any visible issues throughout the process and seems to have moved the profile to admin status in my new Mac book. But the main login password I used on my old Mac book doesn't work on the new one and it doesn't give me the option to rest the password on the new Mac book.

Have you got another account on the Mac? If you have and it's an admin account you might be able to change the password of your main account by logging in to and going to System Settings/Users and Groups.

If not then, assuming you can get to the web with another device, have a look here If you’ve forgotten your Mac login password – Apple Support (UK)
