I received a new replacement phone and now I need to send my old one. Should I put it in the box I received my new phone in? It’s not an original Apple iPhone box, but it has a serial number of the new phone. Or, I have to put it in shipping box with the return label only?

I would wait for the packaging return box, which should include the shipping label.
It should arrive within 5-10 days. Shouldn't be this case, I would contact Apple directly and ask what to do.

… if there’s an Apple Store conveniently available, consider turning it in there.
It’s always good to have a “hand receipt” for the return from an Apple employee.
