KVM transmitter grey out my whole Mac control on my M3 MacBook Air

Im setting up a playback server for a musical artist and when I get both my laptops on the network, M3 MacBook Airs using Sonoma, then I go to Displays so I can set up the KVM renamitter to use it for the main display it showed up then it greyed out all my control on my Mac, I can do anything to get into my DAW to use it. Im using a TeSmart KVM transmitter hooked up to BOTH Macs using an ethernet switch along with my audio interface. The KVM transmitters are hooked up into a USB C ethernet/USB/HDMI adapter. what am I doing wrong?
