Some things that I am concerned about my new MacBook Air.

Hello first of all,

I just got a new MacBook Air for school. I have been using it for 2 weeks and there are some things that I am concerned about. First is my caps lock button. The problem is that sometimes I have to press it 2 times, sometimes even 3 or 4 to activate it. At first I thought it was designed to be clicked 2 times because well, you know, sometimes we press buttons accidentally. However, after seeing that I have to press it 3 or even 4 times, I thought about taking it to the Apple Store, but I haven't. Another concern of mine is the sound that comes from the touch pad. When I click it, there's this loud clicking sound that I haven't heard before. I have used my friend's exact same model Mac at school before buying my own, but I don't recall the sound being this loud. I also have concerns about my lid. When I close my lid for a long amount of time, and open it, there's this weird sound that is coming from the magnets (I guess), and it feels like I am ripping the screen out. This doesn't happen for short amount of time by the way, and I made some research about it, and the problems were mostly about change of room temperature, but I don't even take my Mac out of my room, and it always stays on my table, so I am pretty sure my problem has nothing to do with room temp.

I am really worried about these problems since it's brand new and expensive, and I try to use it as gentle as possible. The caps lock button REALLY annoys me, especially when I'm trying to take notes in class. I hope some of y'all have answers or tips. I don't know if I should take it to the Apple Store, and even if I do, will they be helpful?

Unfortunately, you are outside the window of the 14-day return policy that Apple has. As such, I do suggest that you take it to your local Apple Store to have them take a look and provide you with your options. These all seem to be happening too soon at this point in your Mac's "life."
