iPhone 13 WiFi issue preventing Find My iPhone disablement

I am trying to reset an iPhone 13 with a broken WIFI. I have upgraded to a new iPhone want to erase the old phone. I have connected the old iPhone to my Windows 11 PC and have Apple Devices App running. When I try to Restore the iPhone it say Find My must be turned off before iPhone can be restored.

On the iPhone when I try to turn off Find My iPhone it give me an error, Verification Failed Thee was an error connecting to the Apple Account Server.

How do I get past this?

Thanks

"That is the issue. I do not have WIFI on the iPhone. It is broken. I was told by the carrier that I need to connect the iPhone to the PC and run Apple Devices and do a restore from there. However, it won't do the restore because Find My is on and I can't turned it off because I get this verification error."

There is no need for a restore.

  1. Go here: Turn off Find My on your devices and items - Apple Support
  2. As it Reads: If you no longer have the device or if you’re unable to turn off Find My in Settings, you can remove it from your account using Find My on iCloud.com.
  3. As it Reads: You can also remove your iPhone, iPad, or Mac by signing out of your Apple Account on that device.

"This iPhone does not have a VPN. It does not connectivity to the Carrier. Carrier has disabled access to their network. It has been moved over to new iPhone SOS is displayed on the top instead of connection bars."

"No Service"

All is fine. You'll have to rely on WiFi. "No Service" will show, if it I has no SIM card or eSIM card configured with it.
