Apple watch always goes to outdoor walk in workout.

I have a 1st generation Apple Watch Ultra and recently it starts recording outdoor walk automatically. If I bump the workout button it automatically goes to outdoor walk. I have to end the exercise and go to say outdoor cycle or what ever. It didn't used to do this. If I touched the workout button I could choose what workout I wanted. That is no longer the case. Is there some setting that I have accidentally triggered?

Never mind. I was able to find in the setting under action button that it had been set to automatically start a workout instead of just going to the workout app. I have changed the setting and everything is back to normal.
