CarPlay no longer working in my Mazda CX5

I recently purchased a used car a Mazda CX5 2019 model and I was able to skip songs and see the song names on the screen however this is no longer working. I have tried updating my phone (I have an iPhone 16 pro max), resetting the display and deleting my music apps, is anyone having this problem and tell me how I can fix this.
