Apple Pencil Pro not pairing with iPad Air M2 in Find My app

my ipad air m2 soes not recognise my apple pencil pro in the find my application. i can use the pencil just fine with every single feature so far but the find my option. what i did wrong? tried everything

Apple pencil pro and latest udpated ipad air 11 m2.

when I try to pair it in the app it says try to place the pencil again to the ipad. Pls help
