How do I upload my old 12.8.0.150 iTunes Music Library to MUSIC on new 2024 iMac

I now have a new 2024 iMac. My old iMac is now uploading Photos to iCloud using iCloud preference setting in the Photos app to upload all the photos to iCloud. I see no iCloud preference in iTunes 12.8.0.150 to do a similar thing for my iTunes Library.

My old 2010 i3 iMac is running Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra and can't be upgraded past that. There's no iCloud setting or preference in iTunes where I can select upload to iCloud

I have copied all of my old iMac Music files from the Music folder to the Music folder on the new iMac.

My new iMac Music/Files setting is: /Paul's 2024 iMac HD/Users/paulgoodwin/Music/Music/Media. There's nothing in there.

What do I do next to move my old iMac iTunes Music Library, playlists, etc. to the new iMac?

Thanks for responding.

My OS and iTunes are the latest that can be run on this mid-2010 iMac. There are no SW updates available (and haven't been for a long time). It's stuck at High Sierra 10.13.6 and iTunes 12.8.0.150.

Question. If I send you my iTunes Library files, and you update them, will my mid-2010 iMac even be able to run iTunes with the updated Library files?

I put that iTunes folder in my new 2024 iMac Music folder. But I don't know what to do with them since there's no iTunes app to run on that machine.

I've done well over 100 library upgrades by now. I have Mojave iTunes installed on my Catalina system. I use this to bring the High Sierra library forward to the Mojave version, then open that library with Music to create a .musiclibrary package that will open on any version of Music from Catalina onwards. All I need is the .itl file. I will explain where you need to put the file and how to open it when I send it back to you. The iTunes Music folder needs to be copied to the same path on the new machine. I also have advice on massaging the library into the new default layout once it is working.

The other problem I have is on the new iMac, when I open the Music app, it asks me if I want to do a 7-day free trial. My wife purchased the Family Plan iCloud+ package, and invited me. I used that invite on my iPad, and the Music app works fine. The Music app of the new iMac doesn't seem to recognize that my Apple ID is the same as the iPad and that the Family plan for the Music app applies
