The currentMBA starts at US$999.

Only you can decide if it would be worth an additional $649 to buy new.


Your Intel MBA Retina will be classified by Apple as a vintage machine by the end of 2025 and hardware support will drop off sharply. Software support will be waning soon as well.


IMHO, were I in your position, I would drop the $ for a new Mac.

You would be jumping to a Mac with Apple Silicon and the ability to carry you forward for 8-10 years, assuming it doesn't fail or get damaged.
