I erased everything on my MacBook as I want to sell it and reinstalled Sequoia. Instead of showing the "hello" screen it immediately shows the country choices. Is there a way to get the hello screen instead?

Shutdown the computer by any means possible including using the Power Button
If you proceed with the " Hello" screen
You are actually in the process of Setting Up the computer as part of the " Out of the Box " experience
An aside to current issue
You may consider opening your User Account >> Edit Profile and Setting
Scroll down to Other Preferences >> Default thread sort
Adjust the sort order to a setting your prefer
In this way you may avoid reply to yourself and more accurately reply to the User you Intended to reply to
