My wife has got me as family sharing on her iPhone X, however when I search on my iphone14 it does not show could someone advise me how I can use this service as my wife is in care and her phone continues to be misplaced so I need to either locate it or report it stolen, thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

If you both had set up location sharing as described in the following then you could use Find My on your phone to locate hers. See: Share your location with your family - Apple Support
If you didn't do that, you can still locate the phone (assuming she had Find My turned on and that you know here Apple Account and password). Use any internet browser and log into www.icloud.com/find using her Apple Account and password.
