Textedits open on it own

Hi, I got a recurrent TextEdit file opening when I browse with Safari. I do not know what this is. Can anyone help me to stop opening? I copy the text of the 19 file in less than 30 mins (!) in the annex. Thanks!

downloads from safari end up as weird text data file if I change the file name Recently, files that I download on safari always save as file type "document". the first time I click on it (from the safari downloads folder), it usually opens how I would expect (ie, if I was downloading a powerpoint, it opens in powerpoint when I click on it). But then if I go to where I downloaded it in Finder, and then click on it, it just opens up some textedit file. The weird thing is this only happens if I rename the download. I have downloads set to asking where to save each time. If I just save it with whatever name was originally there ,no problem. If i change the title though, then I run into the issue. This has been true for pdfs, word documents, powerpoints. I've included an example below, with annotations to try to make the issue clear.

textEdit issue still today textEdit issue still today. it's hard or not possible to save .html- Rename does not work this is how it worked for me: go back to Finder > click file name (while you see your files in a line) > delete .txt (after the .html) > click return > (it'll ask you 'Are you sure you want to change the extension from “.txt” to “.html”?' > click Yes > eh Vuo'la that has always been my mac-laptop-mood-changer, before I really wanted to throw 'my baby' onto the wall.

Textedit Why is textedit automatically open if no documents are open on my MacBook??? It has become so annoying, I would really just like to remove the app from my MacBook completely.
