How can I use Apple Watch for remote Pulse Monitoring?

I wear my Apple Ultra watch when I sleep at night. Can someone please advise how my wife, who is out of town, can remotely monitor my pulse to check if I am breathing and alive. She has an iPhone.

It seems unlikely to me that Apple would add such an option. The chances of something going badly wrong are just too huge. However, you can let them know what you'd like to see here:

I agree with Carol B that you should discuss this with your doctor. There may be actual medical grade devices that will do what you want. Also, if your partner is far away, what are they going to be able to do other than call emergency services?

Apple can only provide health monitoring features that are tested and approved by the FDA in the USA and similar agencies in other countries. ECG met this test, and so did SP02, but these are single use features, not for continuous monitoring.

Using an Apple watch would be problematic, because what happens if the watch battery runs down or if the watch loosens during the night? There are dedicated monitoring devices that have been FDA certified for this purpose.

Also, an Oura ring can monitor for sleep apnea, but it does not alert, it just reports in the morning when you sync the watch to your Oura app.

I don't know how to do this - maybe someone will be along - but please think about this carefully. If you lose connection in the night, or you battery runs down, or you take your watch off and forget to put it back on - or indeed any thing stops the signal getting out then your wife might think that something bad has happened. It wouldn't be very nice for her.
