Cannot eject external drives after upgrading to Mac OS 15.1

I have several external disks which can't be ejected "because one or more programs may be using it".

This has been happening after upgrading to Mac OS 15.1.

Did not have this problem before upgrading to Mac OS 15.1.

There are no active programs using the disks.

The only way to eject them now is to force eject or reboot the laptop.

Thanks,

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.1

The current stable release of Sequoia including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 15.2 — I would start there
