Front camera disabled for Face ID on iPhone X

No one here on this user to user only forum can solve this for you. You likely have a hardware issue with the True Depth Camera on your iPhone. If you do, it will require a visit to your Apple Store Genius Bar and likely a screen replacement. Personally, given iPhone X cannot run iOS 17 or iOS 18, it wouldn't be good investment, but that's up to you.

Screen protectors and cases have been known to interfere with the TrueDepth camera.

The next easiest solution is to thoroughly clean the notch area.

Next, try resetting your Face ID. If you can’t reset, it’s likely a failure in one of the systems needed for TrueDepth camera to function.

Lastly try a forced restart.

Another user recently provided info that his Face ID on an iPhone 12 stopped working too, yet he reportedly resolved the issue cleaning his notch with alcohol.
