What is the latest macOS for MacBook Pro Retina?

The answer to that is 100% dependent on the SUB-MODEL of your MacBook Pro, which you have not shared with us. Older models cannot run the latest OS versions.

Apple has released many MacBook Pros with Retina screens, starting in Late 2012 and continuing to this very day. Which particular model you have (including especially the hardware model year / time of year) will determine how far you can upgrade.
