Time Machine error message
I am getting short of space on the external drive where I keep my Time Machine backups.
I get the error message "Backup not complete. there isn't enough space on the drive
If there is a lack of space on the external drive, TM automatically deletes the oldest backups. This message refers most likely to your internal drive: although TimeMachine makes backups onyour external drive, it needs some space on your internal drive to complete te backup. If your internal drive is nearly full, you get this message
