Should I use the same Account or use Family Share between my iPhone and iPad?

Hi, i have both an iPhone and i’m Getting a new iPad, but i like to keep all the stuff on them separate and not Get Messages etc from my phone on the iPad and i`d like to choose which Photos/files etc. to share instead of automatically syncing everything, but still have access to my purchases, is it still better to use the same Apple id/account on both without syncing or can i set up a new ID for the new iPad and have the phone and iPad accounts as a family instead, to have easier control over what to share between the devices? For example i take way too many Photos on my phone that i dont want on my iPad at all, but i sometimes want iPad files on my iPhone, Which would be the better option?

To me it is sounding like you might want to set up two accounts and then use various sharing services to be selective in what you share. Two accounts goes contrary to Apple's general advice but since it seems like you desire two separate personas, people do it that way.

You can use various iCloud sharing features for some ongoing data sharing.

Share folders with iCloud Drive --> Share files and folders in iCloud Drive on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Read How to use Shared Albums in Photos on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac - Apple Support about how to share photos.

Apps and media downloaded with one Apple account are permanently associated with that account. Look into using Family Sharing to continue to be able to use items purchased with one Apple account with other Apple accounts, and for some data sharing features.
