Why do muted texts still come through on my iPhone 14?

I’m wondering why a text I’ve muted successfully for a long time is no longer muted.

Muting may be removed if you reinstalled Messages, restored your iPhone, or reset settings. Muting may also not apply if conversation participants or the group name changed.

Thanks for your suggestions but I have not reinstalled, restored, or reset settings. I unmuted the group text and muted again but no luck. I’m thinking it may have something to do with the latest update 18.2.
