RAVPower External SSD on MacBook Pro

Hi, I just got a new MacBook pro with the M4 chip and the transfer from my old MacBook to this one went great with everything but my RAVPower External hard drives. For some reason the external hard drives mount and are found by my mac but the Ravpower software to unluck them doesnt find them. Show this message "Your RAV Portable SSD is not connected to any device". I found a similar thread thats a little older with the same issue but it doesnt look like it was resolved. Did you allow macOS to access the external drive?

Make sure you are using the most recent version of the RAVPower proprietary software. Make sure that software is actually compatible with your M4 Mac and macOS Sequoia.

Make sure to disconnect all other devices from the computer in case one of them is causing a problem and connect the drive directly to the computer. Recently I was assisting a user with their external drive and it seems that drive would not work when connected directly to the computer, but did work when connected using a USB hub.

If you are using any anti-virus software, cleaning/optimizer apps, and third party security software, then uninstall it by following the developers' instructions. These types of apps are not needed on a Mac and will usually cause more problems than they solve because they interfere with the normal operation of macOS.
