Since the last update, which was awful. My calendar is full of stuff I cannot delete. It’s coming from my email junk I think. Does anyone else have this issue and know how to get rid of it?

Perhaps a long shot, but have you checked the list of calendars to which you're subscribed to see if you've gotten onto ones you don't need? If they're read-only, that would explain why you can't delete any of the entries.
