Apple News will not connect on my iPad

When I go to open Apple News it will not load. I have deleted & reinstalled the app. I have also followed all tips on the forum. I have just done all the recent updates & still no joy. Can anybody help further?

Re: Apple News will not connect on my iPad

Could be an issue with the DNS server settings, (or you could try General > Reset > Reset Network Settings)

or

perhaps turning the router off, wait a few minutes, then turn back on, may be enough to help.

Eg: Sometimes the Wi-fi provider performs maintenance, and the router needs that restart to perform well,

Else: You may need to check your iPadOS version is up-to-date with the newest compatible iPadOS version for that model: Eg: Look in Settings > General > Software Updates to see if an update is waiting to be installed.

If so, it is always wise to back up your iPad data before updating the iPadOS version.

Apple support's article (for iPadOS 18 or, for accuracy, choose an earlier iPadOS version at the top of the article) :

Browse and read Apple News+ stories and issues on iPad - Apple Support

Eg: says:

If you sign out in Settings  > [your name] >

Media & Purchases, you can only access free stories—you must sign back in to access stories and download issues that require an Apple News+ subscription.

There are other tips in the above article, and in this one too: Get started with News on iPad - Apple Support

Eg: says:

You need a Wi-Fi or cellular connection to view the latest News content.

Apple News+ subscribers can access downloaded content in Offline Mode, even without an internet connection.

All the best :-)
