Using Siri to answer calls iPhone 13

My FIL is blind he uses his iPhone 13 to answer calls using Siri “hey Siri answer phone”. However now when Siri answers call it defaults to the speaker. He want to answer but not on speaker. I have not found a setting for Siri to fix this.

Side Note: I have used accessibility, touch, call auto routing and have opted ‘automatic’ which is not speaker. If a call in his phone is answered using answer button on incoming call it does NOt go to speak. Using sprint always goes to soeajer

Re: Using Siri to answer calls iPhone 13 : when Siri answers call it defaults to the speaker.

See if changing this setting helps :

Settings  > Accessibility > VoiceOver > Audio > Turn "Auto-select Speaker in Call" off, if it is on)

____________

Else if needed:

Check: Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing.> Make sure "Speaker" isn't selected.
