Is there a specific way to connect lightning cable to iPhone?

May I ask stupid question ;) So my external PC hard-drive manual says that I first connect cabel to hard-drive and than to PC so does iPhone 16 has a rule which part of Lightning goes first; should I first connect cabel to phone and than to AC power or vice versa?

Makes no difference.

Not a big deal.....but the iPhone 16 does not have a Lightning port, it is a USB-C port.

Sorry for lapsus...I meant USB-C port.

So manual on my hard probably mentiones that just for some language purposes...not technical ones?
