What can I do if iCal won't let me edit events and freeze?

When I try to edit an existing ical event, I can't open the edit screen and then after a few toys, ical totally freezes and the only way to get out is a forced quit.

Can't click on calendar events Can't get into event info on random calendar events. Seems to happen on about 10-15% of events so not all but enough to be annoying. Single clicking on the event will highlight the event. Can also drag the event from day to day and expand to multiple days. Double clicking won't open event info. Instead it just adds a new event. Right clicking won't open the event options menu, just comes up with "new event" and "paste event", as if you're just right clicking on empty space. Closing and reopening the app doesn't seem to make a difference. Sometimes it'll start working again one one event but stop working on another.

iPhone 12 Pro Max screen freezing in Calendar, Reminders, and Notes after iOS 18.2.1 update I Have iPhone 12 Pro Max lots of Storage & iCloud storage , Great Signal & Strong WiFi , so it’s not due to those issues ! I update automatically daily ! and I have Had Issues with My Screen Freezing after I open my Structured Calendar App after inputting my Tasks . It froze temporarily & I couldn’t scroll the screen nor tap or get the screen itself to respond to any touch ! It took a long time to finally process its own ( information to finally respond I guess ) ? Idk my calendar of Tasks was very simple . the other apps were also simple information input and yet they froze up too ! also: my Safari is closing and requiring sign in every time … I am not sure why , I do not save other sites I visit , just Can’t use Safari App like it’s supposed to be used when Tapping on it , it doesn’t take me to Safari … I just Had Apple Support Fix it On The Weekend before the California Fires & Winds 1/7/26 & then We got the IOS 18.2.1 update & now everything is all screwy ! I'm getting the same thing with a Mac M4 Mini on Sequoia on both new and existing Events. Sometimes if I try to edit the time first I can edit the Title. It's hit or miss. Tell Apple about the problem via Feedback - macOS - Apple. The squeaky gets the grease.

Thanks! Sent info to Apple. We will see what happens. I believe that it's a glitch in Sequoia 15.2.

Additionally, Ical works fine in iCloud
