Why do I have to type to Siri instead of talking?

When I push the side button for Siri, (which is what I like) I have to type a message and I can’t talk anymore to her. Is there a setting for this?

Try Settings>Siri & Search (or Apple Intelligence & Siri)>Talk & Type to Siri>Type to Siri.
