Facebook login issue on new iPad despite correct password

This is a long-standing problem in Facebook's app that they have yet to fix. Some people have reported that if they install Messenger and log in there, then they're able to log into the standard Facebook app. You might give that a try. If that doesn't work, then you'll need to talk with Facebook support, rubbish though it generally is, or log into Facebook via a web browser.

Have deleted and reloaded app. Also tried resetting iphone pw for password and won’t allow that. Have spent hours trying on different things and have gotten nowhere. Seems like this is an issue with many people and there doesn’t appear to be any solutions that I haven’t already tried.
