To improve the clarity of your iPhone 12's camera, you can adjust the resolution, format, and other settings:

  • Resolution: Go to Settings > Camera > Formats > Photo Mode and choose 12 MP, 24 MP, or 48 MP. For 48 MP, you can turn on Resolution Control or ProRAW & Resolution Control.
  • Format: Shoot in RAW format for higher quality photos with more image information to work with when editing. To enable RAW, you can:
    • Press and hold the RAW icon in the camera
    • Go to Settings > Camera > Formats and toggle on Pro RAW & Resolution Control
  • Other settings: You can also adjust the exposure, macro control, and preserve camera settings.
  • Clean the lenses: Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to clean the lenses.
  • Restart the phone: Restart the Camera app and the phone itself.
  • Avoid pinching to zoom: Pinching to zoom can make photos blurry.
