Thanks...Unfortunately, no change.

I twice shut down (60-sec path), rebooting in Safe Mode.

1st: In Safe Mode, attempted unsuccessfully to Quick Actions > Left Rotate (.jpg)...repeatedly failed.

2nd: In next Safe Mode, I did nothing, no Quick Actions, then shut down (60-sec path).

Restart normally, attempted Quick Actions > Rotate Left...failed, repeatedly.

Other ideas? TIA

Rotating the file with Quick Actions, as I've always done, just quit working around New Years. In Preview, my default .jpg opening application,...yes, it does allow the rotation. Great work-around. Thank you.

Over at least the last half of 2024, Quick View was operating a bid oddly...temporarily removing the files from Finder while rotating them, then returning them into the Finder folder, usually all rotated. With luck, some Apple update will correct this bug I've incurred. Until then, I'll employ your Preview rotation approach. Again, thank you!
