fcpx 11 not translating captions language
Hi!
I tried to automatically translate captions from English into Swedish but FCPX 11 is only giving me an exact duplicate of the English caps.
Any thoughts?

I think there is a misunderstanding. You can take the captions and "Duplicate to a new language", which you have assumed to mean "translate", but alas it does not. It just lets you quickly create another copy, with the same timings, and a role that indicates another language; but you have to do the translation yourself.
There are services online providing this, so perhaps you can export the captions to an srt file, have it translated, then import again. Maybe when Apple Intelligence is expanded to more languages, FCP could get the capability you were expecting here, but not yet.
