iMessage Block on iPhone - Requesting Assistance

Hi Apple Community,

I’m experiencing an issue with iMessage on my iPhone, and I’m hoping to get some guidance. While iMessage works perfectly on my MacBook, I’m unable to access it on my phone. Additionally, some texts I send are not being received by recipients, and I’m not receiving messages on my phone either.

As a Realtor, this has been a significant disruption to my business. I rely on iMessage to communicate with clients about property opportunities and other important matters. On a personal level, it’s also affecting communication with my wife and daughter, which is incredibly frustrating.

The block may have been triggered after I sent Happy New Year messages to my contacts, along with a reminder of my services. These were sent exclusively to people in my phonebook, and I had no intentions of abusing the feature or sending spam.

I encountered a similar issue in 2023 and was told by a senior Apple representative that I could reach out for assistance if it happened again. However, I was not informed that any resolution offered back then was a one-time courtesy. I now fully understand the importance of avoiding such situations and am happy to comply with any steps needed to resolve this.

I’ve also spoken with my carrier, who confirmed that my number is not flagged as spam. This number has been mine since 2003, and I value it both personally and professionally.

I’d greatly appreciate any advice or steps I can take to restore iMessage functionality on my phone. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thank you for your response. Now that I know, I will not send multiple messages from my phone. I am a realtor, and former promoter, so I have many contacts that I actually know and am sending the messages to, unless someone changes their number (that, I would be unaware of, but they normally reply back "wrong number" and I remove them from my Contacts List).

I'm not saying that you did anything wrong in the moral sense. However, Apple doesn't know where you're getting this list of people from or whether or not you have their permission to contact them.

If any of these contacts are using SMS/RCS (green bubbles) you may also have run afoul of one of your carrier's policies.

Can someone please assist me with this issue? I previously had an excellent representative who kept me updated and regularly provided feedback from engineers, which was incredibly helpful. A few reps have mentioned they’ve seen this issue resolved for others, so I know it’s possible.

Unfortunately, my experience today was quite different. The representative I spoke with was very dry in tone and didn’t seem enthusiastic about helping me, which was disheartening.

This issue has been significantly impacting my life as a real estate agent. My phone is my lifeline, as I use it to communicate regularly with my clients and sphere of influence. While I can get by using my computer and watch, being unable to communicate directly from my phone is not sustainable for my work.

I’m reaching out to Apple for help in resolving this as soon as possible. Please, someone—anyone—assist me in getting this resolved. Thank you so much in advance!
