iPhone microphone is on and I do not know why.

I have an iPhone 15 pro.

Running IOS 18.2.1

  • The orange square is in the black oval at the top of my phone next to the camera lens.
  • I restarted the phone and it goes away, till I unlock it then it is right back on again.
  • I have done a hard shutdown 3 times, it keeps coming back. (up volume, down volume, press and hold power till I see the apple symbol)
  • I sent into Settings - Privacy and Security - Microphone and saw 5 apps that have access. I turned them all off. The orange square is still on.
  • I restarted the phone, the orange square is still on.
  • I went back to microphone under the privacy section and no apps have access.
  • I went into the Control Center and do not see anything using my microphone.
  • In Control Center I clicked on the hearing icon, Live Listen is not on (gray'd out)
  • I see "accessibly Controls" at the top of my Control Center screen. I clicked on it and I see the microphone symbol with waves flowing through it, It is set to Voice Isolation. Tapping it or holding it does nothing.

So what is using my microphone and who is listening to me? How do I turn it off?

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18
