apple wallet age restrictions

my son is 12 years old and he would like to use the apple wallet on his iphone but when we go to add his card to the wallet it says there is an age restriction. is there a way around this?

Only to wait until your son is 13.


In Set up Apple Pay - Apple Support Apple says in note 2 that If you're less than 13 years old, Apple Pay isn't available and you can't add a card in the Wallet app. Age varies by country or region.


Some regions require an age minimum beyond 13. Some banks may also insist on a different age minimum.
