Spill any dirt or liquid into it?

Turn upside down to try and shake out dirt. Then run a vacuum hose form the vacuum cleaner over it in the hope to pull out any other dirt. Liquid spills usually require pulling the key and trying to clean contacts or replacement of the keyboard.

Run Apples Hardware Check to see if there is a circuit that might be going bad.

Take it to Apple store and pay an Apple genius to diagnose that you need a new keyboard.

Maybe it was an Apple keyboard under a recall.

Check to make sure Mouse Keys is turned off. When it is turned on, my MacBook air keyboard goes nuts.
