Separate Apple Account for text message privacy
my husband & I have 1 Apple ID. Can I get a separate Apple ID so that we don’t receive each other’s text messages.

Not only can you, but you SHOULD do so. Apple doesn't recommend the sharing of an Apple ID.

Yes indeed … but it’s terribly significant and just didn’t want that facet to be overlooked.
(and possibly become a reason to NOT “split-out” accounts.)
