macOS 15.2 keyboard shortcuts not working properly

Since macOS 15.2, if I enter Launchpad once and then exit, the keyboard shortcuts don't work, such as spotlight (command+space), new window (command+n), I have to click the left mouse button to get back to normal. I have tried restoring the default keyboard settings and safe mode, but nothing works.

I have a version of this as well, but mine seemed to come after dumping two "too much control" apps: Veleja and another, which seemed to have taken over some shortcuts.

Command-Spacebar is lost now and I use it daily, multiple times a day!

Command-Tab continues as expected and Command-n for a new window is back, after a long absence.

Help! I don't care for LaunchPad compared to simply searching Spotlight with a couple of letters and opening my app or whatever after a Command-Spacebar quickie.

I'm having all kinds of problems with key commands in the OS and in my Adobe programs since updating to 15.2. The (Command Tab) program switching is one example in the OS and various key commands in Adobe programs are also working erratically. It seems to be getting progressively worse. I rebooted the computer this morning in hopes it would clear the problem but that didn't help. I've been using these key commands literally for decades and all of the sudden they are being ignored or it takes 3-4 attempts to get them to work.
