Enrolling iPhones using Apple Configurator into MDM Intune and facing Network error

Hello,

I am using Apple Configurator 2.0 to enroll the iPhone into MDM Intune, it was working as it should in the beginning, I add all devices to Apple business Manager and install the management profile (Intune MDM) and I did not face any issue.

However recently I am facing issue to enroll iPhone 14, iPhone 15 plus it will go through all the steps until the last step then I will receive an error: " configurator could not download and apply the cloud configuration on "iPhone" because there was a network error "

when I remove " add to Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager " option it works

the weird part also it would work also for phones i enrolled in the past!!!

What I did is :

tried different Wi-Fi and different locations (my home and office and different office from different city .. etc )

uninstall MDM server and re install it

sign out and sign in again to Apple Business Manager (organization)

I checked all the settings i did not notice any difference as i did not change any configuration in Intune side Nor Apple Business Manager side

Apple certificate did not expire

all devices added to Intune using their Serial numbers Properly before the prep step in Apple Configurator

I am thinking about NTP SERVER as I see the phones default time zone is different me is EST and the phones are PST, and the location is USA by default, and I am located in Canada. but I am not sure how to check that or resolve it in case it is the issue.

I need help please ASAP please Thank you so much for any suggestion

Contact your IT administrator or MDM provider to obtain the latest MDM profile.

  1. Is this your corporate iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate
  2. If it is your personal device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
    1. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
    2. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you
  3. If you want to turn on SSL trust for that certificate, go to Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings. Under "Enable full trust for root certificates," turn on trust for the certificate. Apple recommends deploying certificates via Apple Configurator or Mobile Device Management (MDM). --> Trust manually installed certificate profiles in iOS and iPadOS ...

MDM is a technology that allows organizations to remotely manage and configure mobile devices, such as iPhones, iPads, and other mobile platforms. It enables IT administrators to enforce security policies, distribute applications, and manage device settings.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Remove the existing MDM profile: Go to the "Settings" app on your iPhone, select "General," then "Profiles." Find the existing MDM profile and remove it. This will remove the old payload and associated settings.
  2. Reinstall the MDM profile: Contact your IT administrator or MDM provider to obtain the latest MDM profile. Install the new profile on the device, following the provided instructions. Ensure that the new profile contains the correct and updated "CheckInURL" value.

By removing the old profile and installing the new one, you should be able to resolve the mismatched keys issue and establish a proper connection between the device and the MDM server. However, if the problem persists, it would be best to consult with your IT administrator or MDM provider for further assistance and troubleshooting.
