If you're getting this error, be sure to first check the Epson Scan 2 app at the bottom left for where you've told the software to store your scans. If you have a folder listed and the folder no longer exists, you'll get this message.

The use of scanners requires scanner software issued by the vendor (or an independent provider such as VueScan). What you describe appears to be an issue with the scanner's software. I suggest that you work directly with Epson's support people to address the issue.
Haha, yes I have worked with tech support and resolved my issue. My post was simply to alert others who may experience this that there could be a rather simple solution you've overlooked.
