Missing Finder Sidebar Items

I have a 2023 Macbook Air running Sequoia 15.2.

After the most recent OS update I noticed that items that were formerly in my Finder sidebar (Documents, Applications, Desktop, Downloads, etc.) are now missing. The have selected these items via Finder preferences and restarted multiple times, but the missing sidebar items remain missing.

I am able to access these folder via the Go menu and the sidebar is not hidden (showing iCloud Drive and Shared folders along with iOS devices, but other items are missing even though they have been selected in Finder preferences.

How do I get these items back in the sidebar?

If you notice at the top of the side bar next to the gray colored word "Favorites" there is a selection arrow. You have to hover over the word Favorites to see it. Then click on it and it should again show whatever you had there before.
